Abstract

This paper aims to study the relationship between recruitment and turnover with the financial performance of organizations. Empirical, this study uses data from 12 public institutions in the energy sector for a period of 12 years, ranging from 2005 to 2016. The various theoretical works argue that recruitment and turnover in organizations affect corporate performance. Our results were able to show that the departure of the staff negatively influences the financial performance of the 12 study institutions, and that, on the other hand, recruitment is positively correlated with the performance of these entities.
