Abstract

Pluriactive women farmers experience difficulties because they are penalized on three fronts: the workload of the farming profession and pluriactivity farming, and the lack of recognition of their work, including domestic work. An exploratory qualitative approach based on interviews with ten pluriactive farmers in the Nord-Pas de Calais region enabled us to detail both challenges they face in terms of recognition and work organization.
