Abstract

Gouvernement mixte et activités commerciales traversent l'œuvre de Gabriel Bonnot de Mably. Favorable au développement de l'agriculture, de l'industrie et du libre-échange, il reconnait cependant les effets corrupteurs que génèrent les sociétés commerciales. Il considère alors le système de contre forces comme le meilleur moyen de réconcilier les intérêts privés pour faire émerger un intérêt commun. Son programme de réforme constitutionnel pour la Pologne en est un bon exemple.
