Abstract

In the Hauts-de-France region, there is a high prevalence of both type 2 diabetes and precarity. The literature having shown a correlation between these two dimensions, this study in the North of France aims to identify the precarious sub-groups of the population to further understand the behaviors and risk factors of diabetes. A cross-sectional epidemiological study is conducted with a mixed quantitative and qualitative methodology bringing together multidisciplinary data. This ongoing study will make it possible to build profiles of subgroups of people in precarious situations and at risk of diabetes. It will also help to adapt the development of an action research diabetes-prevention program to the population studied.
