Segmentation internationale du marché : une réévaluation dans le secteur du vin

Abstract

L'objectif de cette contribution est double. D'une part elle propose une démarche méthodologique générale de la segmentation internationale fondée sur les recommandations de Steenkampf & ter Hofstede (2002) actualisée des travaux les plus récents sur le thème. D'autre part elle montre l'intérêt de vérifier l'aspect global des segments au moyen de deux tests complémentaires : l'analyse de variance à deux facteurs et la statistique du éta² ; de même que par l'analyse de variance hiérarchique empruntée au champ de la biologie (Nested Anova).Dans un second temps, elle développe une illustration sur le secteur des vins tranquilles (hors champagnes et autres vins effervescents) dans trois pays : la France, la Chine et le Chili. L'analyse montre l'absence de segment comportemental global mais permet de spécifier des effets pays de premier et de second ordre inhérents à ce marché.
