Abstract

L'évaluation des personnes, des actions, des organisations et des institutions est une activité permanente dans tout système social. De nombreux observateurs relèvent qu'elle n'a cessé d'étendre son influence et tous soulignent aujourd'hui sa centralité dans de multiples champs (entreprises, éducation, action publique, médico-social, etc.). Dans une organisation, la performance fait couramment l'objet d'évaluation. Cet ouvrage s'intéresse spécialement à l'évaluation des individus dans les organisations et aux dispositifs par lesquels elle est mise en œuvre. L'évaluation des personnes est envisagée comme reliée à l'environnement économique et social et ouverte à une diversité d'interprétations. Les auteurs exposent les approches théoriques les plus marquantes, classées en grandes rubriques (théories normatives, théories critiques et théories institutionnelles). Pour finir sont proposés les éléments d'une théorie des dispositifs d'évaluation qui combine plusieurs apports.
