Abstract

La République de Djibouti possède l'unique Currency Board (caisse d'émission) existant depuis 1949 sur le continent africain. Sa longévité dans un contexte de libre circulation des capitaux offre une expérience unique et riche d'enseignements. L'échec de la caisse d'Argentine pose la question de la pérennité de ce régime monétaire. Comment expliquer que des pays aient réussi à le maintenir et d'autres non ? L'ouvrage apporte des éclairages et évalue l'efficacité de la caisse d'émission de Djibouti.
