L’apprentissage expérientiel par le jeu comme méthode pédagogique d’acquisition des connaissances théoriques managériales

Abstract

L'apprentissage expérientiel est couramment mis en œuvre en école de management pour le développement des compétences comportementales (soft skills) ou, plus largement, des compétences managériales (via des projets tuteurés, des stages, des simulations, etc.), en lieu et place de méthodes plus orientées sur la seule transmission des connaissances. Dans cet article, nous proposons d'étendre cette approche à des enseignements théoriques de management et de gestion de projet (hard skills). Pour ce faire, nous nous appuyons sur les apports du réalisme critique et de la didactique professionnelle afin de répondre à la problématique suivante : est-il possible de concevoir un dispositif d'apprentissage théorique de type serious gaming intégralement expérientiel ? Nos expérimentations ont couvert la conversion totale de quatre domaines d'enseignement distincts réalisés entre 2019 et 2021 (six cours au total). Ils ont permis de mesurer dans un premier temps un engagement fort des étudiants puis, lors de la réitération de deux cours (un de management opérationnel et un de gestion de projet), nous avons pu valider les deux premiers niveaux du modèle d'évaluation des formations de Kirkpatrick (2016) en nous assurant, plus particulièrement, de l'atteinte des objectifs d'apprentissage visés.
