Abstract

Does the seriousness of the danger posed to humanity by the Covid 19 epidemic justify the measures that are being implemented to contain it? A benefit-cost analysis, familiar to accountants, should help answer this question. The reflection carried out in this paper leads us to underline the paradoxical nature of the characteristics of the disease. This analysis serves as a reminder that management tools can never replace the judgment of managers.
