Abstract

Les technologies de l'information et de la communication (TIC) offrent une large variété d'options pour donner accès à l'information aux personnes en situation de handicap visuel. En outre, toute une série de recommandations techniques et d'outils législatifs permet de réaliser des contenus accessibles de manière universelle. Paradoxalement, en pratique, trop peu de contenus papier ou numériques sont accessibles par défaut. Il s'agit le plus souvent de corriger des situations par des aides techniques et/ou humaines. Plus encore, lorsque les normes en matière d'accessibilité sont respectées, des problèmes subsistent. Résoudre les barrières d'accessibilité par une approche universelle et proactive, mise en œuvre à large échelle durant la dernière décennie, nous semble prometteur.
