Pétrole : apaisement sous tensions

Abstract

Après avoir marqué une pause autour de 60 dollars fin 2005, le prix du baril de Brent a fortement augmenté durant le premier semestre 2006 pour culminer à 78 dollars début août. Depuis, on assiste à un renversement radical avec un cours inférieur à 60 dollars fin septembre au point de susciter des craintes chez certains pays producteurs. Dans un contexte de marché bien approvisionné et de prix très volatils, l'Organisation des pays exportateurs de pétrole (OPEP) devrait empêcher que le prix ne s'effondre davantage par une réduction de quotas. Dès lors, nous anticipons une remontée du cours à 65 dollars en 2007. [Premier paragraphe]
