Pétrole : statu quo à 60 dollars

Abstract

La hausse des prix du pétrole, enclenchée début 2004, connaît une accalmie depuis la fin de l'été 2005. Alors que le prix du baril de Brent est passé de 30 début 2004 à plus 67 dollars à la mi-août 2005, il fluctue autour de 60 dollars depuis. Fait marquant, cette flambée des prix est déconnectée des tensions effectives entre l'offre et la demande qui n'ont cessé de se réduire grâce à l'augmentation des capacités de production et à une politique de l'OPEP accommodante. Elle traduit essentiellement un amalgame d'incertitudes hétérogènes qui rend particulièrement difficile les anticipations des évolutions futures. [Premier paragraphe]
