Abstract

Suitably anonymized mobile phone data can offer new insights on the internal mobility of Syrian refugees in Turkey. We use the data provided by Türk Telekom, one of the major mobile phone companies in Turkey, within the framework of the D4R (Data for Refugees) project to analyze how residential and job market segregation influence the location choices of refugees.
