Abstract

La proximité tant historique que géographique qui lie les pays nordiques1, alliée à une communauté de préoccupations et de caractéristiques (haut niveau de développement, réticences vis-à-vis du projet communautaire européen, similitudes et proximités économiques et sociales...), ont abouti à la mise en oeuvre d'une coopération régionale, dite « coopération nordique ». Il serait abusif de parler de « bloc » nordique, mais on a pu, par exemple, analyser l'adhésion de la Finlande et de la Suède à l'Union européenne en janvier 1995 davantage comme l'intégration d'un ensemble régional que comme l'entrée au sein de l'UE de pays isolés...
