Abstract

L'année 2000 sera le meilleur millésime de croissance mondiale depuis 1988, grâce à la conjonction de facteurs favorables : effets de la nouvelle économie, surtout aux États-Unis ; sortie de crise en Asie, en Amérique latine et en Russie ; dynamisme persistant de la Chine et de plusieurs pays d'Europe en transition ; nouvel essor européen après les années perdues à la préparation de la monnaie unique. Seuls quelques pays (Japon, Argentine) n'ont pas participé à cet essor (tableau 2) (...).
