Systèmes financiers de l’UEMOA : des indicateurs contradictoires

Abstract

Comme chaque année, le Rapport de la Commission Bancaire (CB) donne de précieuses informations sur les systèmes financiers des pays de l'Union Économique et Monétaire Ouest Africaine (UEMOA). Sa version 2020 permet de relever plusieurs caractéristiques majeures de l'évolution récente de la « finance intermédiée » dans cette zone. Au vu du rapport de la CB pour l'année 2018, trois grandes orientations avaient été soulignées: un nombre de banques toujours en croissance, contrairement aux regroupements attendus ; d'importants efforts pour le respect de dispositions réglementaires plus exigeantes; l'émergence des Émetteurs de Monnaie Électronique (EME).
