La contribution des méthodes qualitatives au développement du champ de l’entrepreneuriat

Abstract

Alors que l'essentiel des recherches empiriques conduites dans le domaine de l'entrepreneuriat adoptent désormais des méthodes de nature quantitative, l'objectif de cet article est de montrer comment les méthodes qualitatives peuvent distinctement concourir à enrichir le champ. Plus particulièrement, l'étude opère une recension systématique de 139 articles qualitatifs publiés dans trois revues prestigieuses du domaine, le Journal of Business Venturing (JBV), Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice (ET&P) et Entrepreneurship and Regional Development (E&RD), sur la période janvier 2007-avril 2014. Elle montre les spécificités de chaque méthode, la façon dont elles sont mobilisées par les chercheurs et leur contribution au développement de la connaissance en entrepreneuriat.
