Abstract

Beaucoup de recherches se focalisent sur la musique en tant qu'expérience esthétique et appuient sur les sensations éprouvées par le consommateur à son écoute. Ce travail vise à explorer principalement les aspects symboliques et sociaux de ce type de consommation. Pour cela, le paradigme postmoderne fournit une grille de lecture permettant d'élargir l'appréhension de la musique en déplaçant du stimulus vers l'expérience de consommation l'intérêt théorique. Cette recherche se base sur une analyse qualitative exploratoire l'expérience vécue lors d'un concert « années 80 ». A travers le discours des répondants, il apparaît que la musique n'est finalement qu'un prétexte à une quête identitaire qui s'exprime à travers la recherche de repères historiques et sociaux.
