Abstract

La littérature récente (Weick, 1998 ; Eisenhardt, 1997 ; Hatch, 1997, Moorman & Miner, 1998) voit dans l'improvisation une source de performance stratégique pour des firmes faisant face à des changements incessants. Cet article explore les liens entre performance, improvisation, diversité et confiance dans les organisations. Nous observons une petite organisation dont l'excès d'improvisation aboutit à une crise. Le dirigeant résout la crise par un renouvellement complet de son équipe. Il reprend immédiatement ses improvisations, mais après avoir tiré quelques enseignements de sa première expérience.
