Abstract

Les décisions de réorientation stratégique (abandon d'investissements, cession d'actifs critiques, entrée dans un nouveau marché) font l'objet de processus d'élaboration formels qui aboutissent à des réunions de « délibération » entre les membres des comités exécutifs concernés. L'étude de la connaissance tacite et de l'intuition dans ses décisions stratégiques a fait l'objet d'études récentes (Bennett & Anthony, 2001) qui montrent que la performance décisionnelle est plus fondée sur la connivence et la densité de connaissance implicite partagées par les décideurs que sur les processus de formalisation. Cette recherche vise à prolonger les découvertes de Bennett & Anthony avec une méthodologie de « recherche –imprégnation » (recherche-action et intervention). Notre article suggère que les précédents travaux ont sous-estimé le rôle de l'ancrage interpersonnel des dirigeants dans la constitution d'un « capital de connaissance tacite collective » préalable à la performance décisionnelle.
