Abstract

Les critères géoéconomiques rentrent-ils dans la définition des stratégies des entreprises ? La discipline géoéconomique a t-elle quitté l'ordre du discours pour entrer dans celui de la praxis ? Et dans l'affirmative, à quelle échéance ? Telles sont les trois questions auxquelles je vais tenter de répondre dans cet article. La thèse défendue par cet article soutient que l'intrusion de la géoéconomie dans la formulation des stratégies des firmes n'est pas endogène à leur mutation interne, mais repose sur des phénomènes de gouvernance globaux des entreprises qui conditionnent le financement de leur croissance, soit par des investisseurs institutionnels (fonds de pension), soit par les marchés, et dans une moindre mesure, l'opinion. Nous montrerons donc dans un premier temps l'importance croissante que prennent ces systèmes de gouvernance exogènes, pour revenir, dans un second temps sur une analyse plus traditionnelle de la gestion de l'influence sur des systèmes politiques ou économiques au sein des firmes.
