Abstract

Non, nous ne sommes pas dans une reprise (ratée) d'un sketch du célèbre trio comique les Inconnus, mais bien dans notre univers de la recherche académique. La mesure de la qualité d'un chercheur, autrement appelée la réputation académique, est une quête sans fin (Barbour et Marsall, 2012; Verčič et al., 2016). Williams (2001) parlait déjà des « academostars » en référence aux chercheurs élevés au statut de star par leur université ou leurs pairs. Ont suivi le développement des plateformes pour mesurer ce succès. Ainsi, Researchgate a été créée en 2008, Google Scholar fêtera ses 10 ans en novembre prochain et ORCID à 9 ans maintenant. Ces outils ne sont que la partie émergée de l'iceberg et pourtant, dans bien des cas, les seuls critères de mesure retenus pour parler de la réussite d'un chercheur.
