Abstract

Globalisation is accelerating after the collapse of the socialist bloc. Firms are forced to adopt a logic of openness and export, according to modalities that depend on their competition and their locations in the world and in the sector of activity. It is preferable to develop a controlled opening in the range of internationalisation, from direct free trade to filialisation, via turnkey factories or joint ventures. There are several managerial implications in globalisation and choices have to be made in a random environment that needs to be controlled. Several tools are likely available to help the company's action.
