Abstract

Droit et économie entretiennent des relations étroites dans la vie du commerce depuis l'Antiquité. Avec l'apparition et l'évolution de règles et d'institutions pour les acteurs et leurs activités, des histoires du droit commercial se donnent à lire. À travers le temps et pour l'espace européen, ces histoires intéressent la formation et la pratique des usages du commerce, l'expression du ius mercatorum et l'affirmation du droit commercial à partir du XIXe. Son évolution est mise en perspective et son dépassement au XXe s. questionné. Des droits antiques au droit des affaires, cet ouvrage porte attention aux divers acteurs privés et publics, aux savoirs des juristes et des marchands ainsi qu'aux techniques pour manifester la confiance, valoriser le capital et reconnaître l'entreprise.
