Abstract

Le CIRAD développe avec le concours du ministère français des Affaires Etrangères un logiciel pour l'Analyse des Filières Agroalimentaires (AFA). Nous présenterons dans une première partie le contexte dans lequel cet outil a été élaboré ; puis après avoir décrit ses principales fonctions, nous donnerons des éléments de réflexion sur les conditions dans lesquelles ce type d'outil peut effectivement contribuer aux renforcements des capacités de décisions. Cette réflexion repose à la fois sur les résultats des premières applications pilotes d'AFA et sur d'autre interventions de formation auprès des décideurs et des acteurs des filières agro-alimentaires en Afrique subsaharienne.
