Abstract

A partir de uma breve exposição dos princípios da teoria da reciprocidade em antropologia econômica, o artigo propõe uma crítica da leitura das relações sociais e econômicas pela única lente do princípio da troca mercantil. Essa visão nega a existência estruturante de relações de reciprocidade, no mundo rural brasileiro, objeto deste artigo. Propõe a análise de políticas públicas rurais – geralmente formatadas e limitadas por uma leitura exclusiva do desenvolvimento a partir do princípio da troca – pelo prisma das relações de reciprocidade e das configurações sociais entre atores.
