Abstract

Considering the new ruralities, this anthropological research addresses a scenario in transformation, the Najerilla valley in La Rioja, characterized by its accused regional imbalance. In this case study, the influence of the market dynamics in the landscape and the transformations of its methods of production are described and analysed. The findings show the vital role of the capital in the reshaping of rural spaces, generating adaptations and resistances in individual and grupal strategies, because of the arrival of new social actors.
