Abstract

This paper reviews the works published over the last decade (2008-2019) that deal with the return of migrants in Ecuador. The selected framework is the Ecuador-Spain-Ecuador migration flow, based on the premise that the global economic crisis, and its materialization in Spain with the "end of the brick", led many Ecuadorian migrant families to reconfigure their migratory projects. This also revived interest from the academy into return migration.
