Abstract

Cet article méthodologique a vocation à fournir aux chercheurs, qui utilisent des équations structurelles basées sur les moindres carrés partiels (PLS-SEM), un guide méthodologique leur permettant d'optimiser la rédaction de leurs articles de recherche. En plus de fournir les indicateurs et seuils de validité les plus récents, cet article propose leur mise en application au travers d'un exemple, afin de guider les chercheurs dans l'évaluation des modèles de mesure et des modèles structurels, ainsi que dans l'interprétation des résultats. Notre exemple inclut notamment le cas de construits de second ordre et d'effets modérateurs, assez complexes à gérer. Pour cela, nous réalisons l'étude et la comparaison de deux modèles basés sur la théorie du coping de Lazarus (1966), respectivement adaptés (1) de la partie ‘menaces' du coping model of user adaptation (CMUA) et (2) de la protection motivation theory (PMT). L'apport théorique de ce travail correspond à l'identification d'un enrichissement mutuel de ces deux modèles.
