Abstract

The Yellow Vests movement in France (2018-2019) is focused on the occupation of traffic roundabouts, on the blocking to commercial areas and to the entry of many cities. One of the consequences is that food supply chains have been completely destabilized, with a new model emerging, based on multiple local micro-disruptions (traffic roundabouts blocking), which complements the old model, based on a reduced number of global macro-disruptions (hubs blocking).
