Abstract

Les canaux de distribution intéressent de longue date les chercheurs en marketing qui se sont efforcés d'en comprendre l'organisation et les transformations. Ce second aspect a nourri une abondante littérature s'attachant à évaluer la nature, la vigueur et les motifs des métamorphoses des canaux. Les avancées sur ce thème rendent nécessaire une clarification conceptuelle. Après avoir discuté les apories de la dynamique telle qu'elle est envisagée jusqu'à présent, le concept de rythme est proposé, qui permet d'intégrer les aspects dialogiques de ce travail de la forme des canaux de distribution. La pertinence théorique et les applications managériales de ce concept sont soulignées.
