Abstract

Les organisations produisent un grand nombre de discours qui constituent un matériau empirique particulièrement riche pour les chercheurs en sciences de gestion. Dans cette optique, les chercheurs ont tendance à se concentrer sur les discours verbaux (documents écrits, discours, entretiens, déclarations, etc.). Mais il existe une autre forme de discours qui invite les chercheurs à s'intéresser à des données autres, jusque-là peu utilisées : les données visuelles. L'objectif de ce chapitre est de présenter ces données visuelles comme matériau de recherche particulièrement riche, d'en définir les composantes et de proposer des techniques d'analyse propre à ce type de données. Il s'agit également de présenter les problématiques spécifiques aux organisations qui se prêtent tout particulièrement à une investigation à travers les données visuelles ainsi que les principaux concepts pouvant bénéficier précisément d'un enrichissement à travers le prisme visuel.
