Abstract

"L'architecture qui domine encore l'organisation des marchés des biens de consommation comporte en aval des « producteurs » qui cumulent les fonctions de conception des produits, de fabrication, et de promotion marketing (politique de marque soutenue par la publicité et le packaging). Les produits sont vendus à des « distributeurs » qui les revendent localement aux « consommateurs ». Cette architecture est si banale qu'elle peut nous paraître « naturelle ». En réalité, les historiens nous expliqueront qu'elle n'a pas toujours existé, qu'elle n'a commencé à s'imposer comme forme dominante que durant l'entre-deux-guerres, et a connu son apogée au cours de la période que les économistes qualifient de fordiste, qui correspond peu ou prou aux « Trente Glorieuses ». Il y a aussi de bonnes raisons de penser que le caractère dominant de cette architecture n'est pas destiné à perdurer. " (...)
