Abstract

Transgressing to Implement One's Right to Ordinary Life Abstract: Caring for a person with Down syndrome from birth to adulthood requires a lot of courage, thoughts and actions. In order to allow their challenged children to live in a "regular environment", some parents are led to create alliances and partnerships, to explain, negotiate accommodations and/or adaptations, but some obstacles introduce transgressions meant to compensate, overcome misunderstandings and shortcomings, even incompetence, while confronting norms, methods and behaviors.
