Petite paysannerie et pauvreté : le cas français

Abstract

En France, il existe encore au sein de l'agriculture professionnelle (celle exercée par les exploitants à titre exclusif ou principal) de nombreux petits paysans. Cette catégorie est exposée à n'avoir que de faibles revenus par ménage. On observe aussi que le taux de célibat masculin prolongé est particulièrement élevé dans ce groupe social. S'il se situe hors de la zone de pauvreté absolue, la notion de pauvreté relative semble convenir pour caractériser sa position dans l'ensemble de la société.
