Abstract

Compte tenu du poids politique de l'agriculture en France, ce n'est que tout récemment que son impact sur l'environnement a été pris en compte. Jusqu'à une date récente, c'est beaucoup plus le risque de désertification que la pollution qui inquiétait les responsables politiques. C'est dans ce contexte qu'il faut analyser les fortes réticences du monde agricole face aux révisions de la PAC. Or la réforme de 1992 censée améliorer les relations entre agriculture et environnement n'a pas produit les effets escomptés. Ce document examine en détail comment les différents modes de gestion des produits et des structures interfèrent avec le milieu naturel.
