Abstract

Selling short circuit is a commercialization method that responds to the emerging demand of both public policy and consumers. As part of our article, we wonder on the determinants of short circuit. The theory of resources and skills emphasizes the importance of these factors in the ability of companies to expand their productive activities. Due to the applicability of the entrepreneurial literature agricultural world hypothesis, we test the relevance of the theoretical framework for the analysis of the short circuit. The data are those mobilized the 2010 agricultural census, which allows taking into account individual, organizational and structural factors. It highlights the sale short circuit is a commercialization strategy implemented by younger farmers on farms smaller in size and that mobilize more jobs, including permanent jobs.
