Abstract

Si les déficits provisoires ou conjoncturels sont un phénomène permanent en agriculture, qu'en est-il de la fréquence et de l'ampleur des déficits prolongés, de caractère structurel ? Selon un traitement particulier du Réseau d'information comptable agricole (RICA) pour les années 87 à 90, ceux-ci sont le fait d'une exploitation individuelle sur neuf en résultat courant, d'une sur dix en résultat de l'exercice. La perte cumulée est de 134 000 F en moyenne. Sans doute un déficit moyen sur quatre ans ne conduit-il pas toujours à une situation financière dégradée et la solvabilité est-elle au total celle de l'unité exploitation-ménage. Pourtant la pérennité des exploitations ayant de tels déficits est menacée.
