Agro-environmental measures and the direct subsidies in the French farm income

Abstract

Cet article présente les principales mesures agri-environnementales décidées dans le cadre du plan d'accompagnement de la réforme de la politique agricole commune (PAC) de 1992. En s'appuyant sur les données du Réseau d'information comptable agricole (RICA) de 1995, il caractérise les exploitations bénéficiaires de ce dispositif et analyse le poids de ces aides dans la formation du revenu des exploitations. Près de 17% des exploitations agricoles "professionnelles" bénéficient d'aides agri-environnementales, où elles représentent près de 15% du montant total des aides directes perçues. Les exploitations contractantes ont un résultat net (106 500 francs) inférieur à celui des autres unités (156 400 francs) mais des superficies plus importantes (67 ha dont la moitié de surface toujours en herbe). Elles sont localisées principalement dans les régions d'élevage extensif, 70% d'entre elles appartenant à cinq régions (Auvergne, Bourgogne, Limousin, Midi-Pyrénées et Rhône-Alpes).
