Abstract

La standardisation fut la première condition nécessaire pour le processus de globalisation. Elle a permis la création de la grappe d'industries qui produit le poulet de chair. Dans cette grappe, certaines activités sont déployées à l'échelle mondiale, alors que d'autres peuvent se situer uniquement aux niveaux local ou régional. La diversité des demandes constitue l'une des limites de la globalisation. L'autre principale limite se trouve dans les formes institutionnelles imposées aux structures industrielles nationales. Le contexte régional et local doit stimuler la concurrence et les activités innovatrices des firmes, notamment par des investissements dans la Recherche et Développement.
