Abstract

Le recours à l'acquisition foncière dans un objectif de protection de l'environnement constitue un mode d'intervention des pouvoirs publics de plus en plus utilisé. Pourtant cette solution n'est pas sans poser problème, tant dans son principe que dans sa mise en oeuvre. En s'appuyant sur une typologie des instruments d'action sur le foncier, les auteurs proposent une analyse du cas de la protection d'un important captage d'eau potable. L'accent est mis sur les incertitudes en présence et leur prise en compte lors du choix des dispositifs d'intervention publique, ainsi que sur les conditions de transférabilité de la solution retenue.
