Abstract

L'article analyse l'évolution de la fonction logistique comme conséquence du développement international de la grande distribution. Il part de l'idée que les distributeurs et les transporteurs ont besoin d'étendre à l'international certains avantages concurrentiels qu'ils ont acquis sur ces marchés locaux et analyse les implications des stratégies internationales de la grande distribution sur les entreprises de prestation de services logistiques. La question se pose de savoir si l'avantage concurrentiel de cette coordination peut être étendu à l'échelle mondiale du développement de la grande distribution, et de façon plus prospective, les auteurs anticipent des changements possibles dans les configurations logistiques.
