Abstract

L'horizon stratégique de l'industrie de l'agrofourniture (pesticides, semences) est marqué de fortes incertitudes. Elles sont le fait de la résistance multi-forme croissante de la société aux risques avérés ou potentiels des organismes génétiquement modifiés (OGM) pour la santé et l'environnement. Elles sont aussi le résultat de la mise en place d'ébauches de contre-stratégies de la part des acteurs économiques les plus en contact avec les consommateurs. Une telle situation engendre une méfiance croissante des investisseurs à l'égard d'une activité à rentabilité désormais peu attractive par rapport à la pharmacie et nourrit donc le processus de concentration massif qui est à l'oeuvre aujourd'hui.
