Abstract

En Argentine, certaines villes disposant de services techniques importants sont en position de se saisir du mouvement de décentralisation pour intervenir dans le développement local des zones rurales. A partir d'entretiens avec les principaux acteurs de l'agriculture de deux districts du sud de la province de Buenos Aires comportant l'un une ville de 300 000 hab. et l'autre une ville de 13 000 hab. Cet article montre qu'émergent de nouveaux modes d'intervention des villes dans le rural. Ils divergent de la politique de développement agricole menée par l'Etat et ils accompagnent des initiatives nombreuses, quoique discrètes, de familles et d'entreprises et une transformation profonde des territoires ruraux.
