Abstract

Au-delà de l'opposition par l'âge, le sexe et la génération, le groupe des conseillers financiers de La Poste présente une dichotomie de statuts d'emploi qui constitue un des principaux éléments pour expliquer les tensions intergénérationnelles. Les uns étant fonctionnaires, avant tout postiers, et les autres contractuels, recrutés pour leurs compétences bancaires, les dynamiques d'insertion dans le métier et de socialisation à l'entreprise ne sont pas les mêmes. Mais les profils et statuts d'emploi ne sont pas suffisants pour expliquer les différents rapports qui s'instaurent entre les générations. Les pratiques associées au statut de « fonctionnaire » demeurent. Ce maintien s'explique notamment par les effets des différentes socialisations des nouvelles générations de conseillers financiers. La profession en tant que communauté socialisatrice favorise alors la coopération et le dépassement des effets de générations dans lesquels les individus ne se reconnaissent pas forcément.
