Abstract

Au fur et à mesure que les entreprises se développent, elles sont amenées à se structurer sous la forme de groupes et le secteur du champagne n'a pas échappé à cette approche. Pour analyser ce changement, des chercheurs ont construit différents modèles et notamment L.E. Greiner (1972, 1998) qui a proposé un modèle mettant en évidence six phases de croissance. Cependant, ce modèle a fait l'objet de critiques dans la mesure où les déterminants du passage d'une phase à une autre n'ont pas été évoqués. Voilà, pourquoi nous proposons de le réadapter afin de le tester en étudiant l'évolution d'un groupe viti-vinicole champenois. La méthodologie de notre recherche repose sur une approche qualitative à visée exploratoire à deux dimensions. Notre étude de cas met en évidence les facteurs internes révélateurs de cette croissance extra-organisationnelle.
