Abstract

Le concept de capital humain génère des représentations qui oscillent entre opportunités économiques et coûts supplémentaires pour les entreprises. Cet article présente la genèse et l'évolution du concept et permet d'y voir plus clair pour envisager de le gérer. Dans leurs approches RSE, les entreprises cherchent aujourd'hui à mieux rendre compte et gérer le capital humain. « Le capital humain et intellectuel constitue une part importante de l'avantage concurrentiel des organisations du XXIe siècle, tout en restant hors de vue pour la plupart des acteurs critiques des entreprises », c'est ce qu'affirme le rapport Human Capital Reporting . Il est en effet surprenant de voir bon nombre d'entreprises décréter que l'humain et l'un des actifs sinon l'actif le plus important de l'organisation alors qu'elles ne l'incluent pas dans leur information financière. Cependant, la chose n'est pas aisée. En effet plusieurs lectures du capital humain s'opposent. Explications.
