Abstract

La décision est un objet qui a été très étudié en sciences sociales, même si elle a paru moins centrale depuis quelques temps. Historiennes et historiens ont aussi contribué à étudier la décision, sans pour autant contribuer à ces premiers travaux. L'objectif du dossier est de contribuer au dialogue entre les disciplines de sciences sociales. Il s'agit aussi de s'interroger sur un paradoxe : la persistance de la « solitude du décideur » sur le terrain, qui contredit les résultats des travaux en sciences sociales. Le dossier vise enfin à discuter des méthodes disponibles pour étudier la décision en histoire et en sciences sociales (archives et entretiens en particulier).
