Abstract

La théorie des jeux est une approche mathématique des problèmes de stratégie qui existent dans de nombreux domaines. Elle permet la simulation et l'aide à la décision pour différents acteurs (individus, firmes, États) engagés dans des situations d'interdépendance. Appliquée au management stratégique, cette théorie analyse le comportement des entreprises à la poursuite d'un avantage concurrentiel durable, l'attitude de chacune des firmes étant déterminée par les observations et les anticipations qu'elle effectue sur les actions de ses rivales.Partant des concepts spécifiques à la théorie des jeux (jeux statiques, jeux répétés, etc.) et s'appuyant sur de nombreuses illustrations de pays et d'entreprises ayant fait le choix et l'expérience de cette réflexion stratégique (exemples et mini-études de cas), l'objectif de cet ouvrage est de montrer comment la théorie des jeux est utilisée actuellement par des "décideurs" et dans quelle mesure elle pourrait l'être davantage jusqu'à devenir un véritable outil de décision.
