Abstract

Le transport de marchandises en ville forme aujourd'hui un volet central de la logistique urbaine. 40% des véhicules*km (UVP - Unité Véhicule Particulier) du transport de marchandises en ville sont effectués par les établissements économiques (DREAL, 2018). Quelle est l'organisation des transporteurs qui effectuent les livraisons urbaines dont le nombre a très fortement augmenté au cours de la dernière décennie avec l'explosion du e-commerce ? Peut-on parler d'optimisation du transport, principalement pour le dernier kilomètre ? Est-il réellement possible de réduire la distance totale parcourue et la durée des tournées urbaines de façon significative ? La présentation s'appuie sur un travail effectué chez DB Schenker, une des principales entreprises de messagerie opérant en Ile-de-France.
